Use these handy flashcards to help your child prepare to receive the First Sacrament of Reconciliation! These cards are based off of the New Saint Joseph First Communion Catechism.
These cards include:
1. Steps to make a good confession – exactly what to say and do
2. A brief examen
3. A card to write down your sins after your examen (I suggest laminating the set so that you can do this with dry erase marker and then erase after confession)
4. Prayers for before and after confession
5. 3 versions of the Act of Contrition to choose from
6. A girl and boy version for the cover card
Simply print, laminate, and cut the cards and bring them with you to confession. If you do not have a laminator, you can print on cardstock for durability or print on regular printer paper and then glue onto a construction paper backing. Then, be sure to cover the card with the space to write your sins with a piece of packing tape. This will allow you to use it over and over again for confession and wipe the page clean after your soul has been cleaned!
To keep the cards from getting lost, you can punch a hole in the top left corner. Then, keep them together with a binder ring or piece of yarn.
