Free Catholic Easter Basket Scavenger Hunt Printable
This is an easy, low prep Catholic Easter basket scavenger hunt for Easter morning!
It includes 7 clues with scripture and a final clue with a line from the Victimae Paschali Laudes. You choose the final spot to hide the Easter basket and write the location on the final card.
All of the clues are rhymes using scripture from the Easter Sunday Mass. The Bible translation used is the New American Bible.
Simply print the cards, fold them, and place them each in a plastic Easter egg. Then, hide the eggs in the designated spots after your kids go to bed on Holy Saturday.
If you plan to attend the Easter vigil, you may need to sneakily hide them before leaving if you want them to find their baskets when you get home. Or, have the kids wait in the car while you quickly hide the eggs!
We usually make one set of eggs for the entire family and hide the baskets all in one spot. The kids work together to find their baskets. Some ideas are the pantry, the garage, a kitchen cabinet, a closet, or even outside in the shed!
If your children cannot read, you can read the clues to them and help them along the way!
